Merchant Terms

Version 1 · Last updated 15 October 2026

In short

These are the terms for listing your business on picked.je. We list and sell your gift vouchers; you honour every voucher sold, exactly as you would one sold in person. We pay you monthly, on the 5th, for the previous month's sales, with our commission already deducted. You never get an invoice from us and you owe nothing on vouchers that don't sell. Either side can end things with 14 days' notice.

These terms are between Clearway Operations, trading as picked.je (7 Clos Morel, La Rue de la Fosse au Bois, St Ouen, Jersey, JE3 2JA) (“we”, “us”), and the business whose vouchers are listed on picked.je (“you”). They apply to your use of picked.je as a merchant, alongside our website Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you've signed a separate letter with us agreeing different terms, that letter takes priority where the two differ.

1. What we do

We list your gift voucher(s) on the picked.je marketplace, so that people can find them and buy them. Where a voucher is sold through picked.je, we take the payment, send the buyer their voucher or order confirmation, tell you about the sale and pay you as set out in clause 4.

2. Getting your listing live

We aim to have your listing live within 1 working day of receiving everything we need from you (see clause 5). Your listing is ongoing, not a one-off delivery. It continues under these terms until either of us ends it (see clause 9).

3. Commission

You pay the commission rate shown on your picked.je account when you accept these terms. If we've agreed a scheduled change in writing (for example, 0% until a set date and then 10% for 12 months), that schedule forms part of your rate. We can only change your rate by giving you written notice.

Commission is calculated on the voucher value of each sale made through picked.je (not on any postage charged) and is deducted when we pay you. We'll never send you a separate invoice for it, and you owe nothing on a voucher that doesn't sell.

4. Getting paid

We pay you monthly, on the 5th of each month, for the previous calendar month's sales, with commission already deducted. We pay by bank transfer to the account details you give us.

5. Your responsibilities

You'll give us what we need to build your listing: your logo, a short description of your business (we're happy to draft this for you to approve), photos, your voucher amount(s), any voucher terms you want applied (for example an expiry date or exclusions), and your bank details for payouts.

You also agree to:

6. Confidentiality

Each of us keeps the other's non-public information confidential and only uses it for the purposes of your picked.je listing.

7. Data protection

When someone buys a voucher for your business, we hold their name, email and order details (and a postal address if they choose postal delivery). That is personal data, covered by the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018. We only use a buyer's details to process and fulfil their purchase, and we only share with you what you need to honour it. You agree to use those details only to honour that voucher, keep them secure, and comply with that law.

8. Liability

If something goes wrong on our side, the most you can claim from us is the total commission you've paid us over the previous 12 months. We're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under Jersey law.

9. Ending your listing

Either of us can end your listing by giving the other 14 days' notice in writing (email is fine). Any voucher already sold and not yet redeemed when your listing ends stays valid, and you must still honour it. We'll pay you for any sales up to the end date on the next normal payout date.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and we'll ask you to accept the new version the next time you log in to your merchant dashboard.

11. How you accept these terms

You accept these terms by ticking the box and clicking “Accept” in your picked.je merchant dashboard. By doing so, you confirm that you're authorised to agree to them on behalf of your business. We keep a record of when each version was accepted and by whom.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Jersey, and any dispute will be decided by the Jersey courts.
