Aida de la Herran Jewellery
Handmade sterling and fine silver jewellery designed and made in a St Saviour studio in Jersey, including signature pieces set with pottery shards found on the island's beaches.

Aida de la Herran is a Spanish-born jeweller who fell in love with Jersey and has made her handmade silver jewellery from her St Saviour studio since setting up as a sole trader in January 2016. She became a member of Genuine Jersey the following March, a mark she says matters to her in a world of "cheap multi production and throw-away" goods. She works entirely with traditional hand tools and techniques, in sterling silver, fine silver and Argentium, with gold available by commission, and also teaches jewellery making at the Philip Mourant Centre in Trinity. Her most distinctive pieces begin on Jersey's beaches. After storms and high tides, fragments of 19th-century china wash ashore, remnants of tea-trade ships returning from China to London that sheltered in the Channel Islands and did not always make it. Aida collects these shards, shapes them into hearts as close to their original form as possible, and sets them in sterling silver, so every piece is genuinely one of a kind. Alongside this signature range she also works in sea glass, semi-precious gemstones and pearls across pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and cufflinks, with free cleaning and maintenance included for as long as you own the piece. Buying through picked.je takes you straight to Aida's own gift card page, where the recipient can put the value towards whichever piece of Jersey's story speaks to them.
