Harriet & Rose started life online in 2019, founded by Harriet Rouse after she spotted a gap for a Jersey gift shop stocking things you won't find anywhere else on the island. The website kept growing, and in June 2021 she opened a bricks-and-mortar shop at 71 King Street in the heart of St Helier - a two-floor space built as much for browsing as buying, with Finn the shop dog usually somewhere underfoot on weekdays. The shop buys in small quantities from independent designers and Jersey-based makers, re-ordering or selling out rather than running seasonal sales, so there's genuinely new stock most months. Alongside jewellery, home and table pieces, scented candles, bags and loungewear, there's a dedicated Jersey Living section and ready-made Care Packages for when only a proper treat will do. A picked.je voucher works the same way as buying in person: the recipient can browse the full range online for islandwide delivery, or come in to King Street to pick something out for themselves - a candle, a pair of earrings, a care package - and take it away there and then.
