Jersey Inspired has been designing jewellery from its King Street shop in St Helier since 2023, when founder Jennifer Velazco set out to make pieces that actually look and feel like the island rather than generic souvenir stock. A lot of that comes down to the materials: pink and black granite hand-picked from Jersey's north coast, and Ormer shell worked in for its mother-of-pearl shimmer, set alongside 925 sterling silver and 9ct and 18ct gold. Stones are chosen individually for their natural markings, so no two pieces come out quite the same. The collections read like a tour of the island - Corbière Lighthouse, Jersey Red Squirrel, Jersey Cow, Jersey Puffin, and a Jambo collection made in memory of the gorilla, alongside birthstone pieces, blue opal designs, and a men's range of cufflinks, bracelets and keyrings. It's a proper jewellery boutique rather than a gift-shop sideline - rings, pendants, bracelets and chains sit alongside smaller gift pieces - and some collections, like the hedgehog range, put a share of proceeds toward local conservation causes.
